Dr. Varun Patel began practicing gastroenterology in Citrus County in 2019. He is our newest physician to join the Suncoast Endoscopy Center and Citrus Endoscopy and Surgery Center family, and we are excited to have him.  Patel graduated in 2008 from the University of California, Irvine, with a Bachelors in Science. He received his medical degree from St. George’s University in 2013. He became board certified in Internal Medicine in 2016 from Seton Hall University/New York Medical College – St. Michael’s Medical Center.  From there, he became board certified in gastroenterology after completing his fellowship in 2019 from New York Medical College/St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in New Jersey.

He currently has privileges at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness, and Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center.
